Günther Grollitsch

Günther Grollitsch founded tanzbar_bremen in 2005 and is the artistic director and managing director of the company. The dancer, choreographer and project developer elaborates new projects and formats for tanzbar_bremen as well as choreographing stage productions. He plans, organises and works on the business areas of the association together with the project directors and takes care of the financing and applications for the projects of tanzbar_bremen. Since 2009 he has curated and organised the biennially organised festival eigenARTig and creates contacts, cooperations and connections with the national and international dance scene.

Since his first dance collaboration with a mixed-abled team in Finland in 2001, Günther Grollitsch has been a campaigner for inclusive dance. In his work, the focus is always on the abilities and qualities of the participants as well as the will to promote and challenge them and to strengthen them in professional artistic work with the help of the resulting artistic works. In this way, he wants to encourage a fairer and more diverse society.

In addition, the graduate cultural manager has worked in the field of artist placement and application management at the Central Artist Placement Office of the Federal Employment Agency and for various associations in Bremen.
