Kultur:Brücken (CULTUR:Bridges)

With the project “KULTUR:Brücken” (CULTURE:Bridges), we aim to explore new and creative ways to shape future opportunities for young people with special educational needs.

In implementing this initiative, we focus on sharing knowledge based on personal, professional, and artistic experiences, conveyed by artists with disabilities. Our team works closely with the participants—for example, in workshops or regular training sessions—to introduce them to what artistic, dance, and theater work involves.

Another goal of the project is to create pathways for internships, FSJ (Voluntary Social Year) positions, or employment opportunities in various cultural institutions in Bremen, as well as to develop and establish courses together with the participants.

So far, we have already reached many young people—for instance, through the 2022 Winter Academy with students from several Bremen schools, a film workshop, and many other activities.
