Tomas Bünger

Tomas Bünger first appeared as a dancer and choreographer at tanzbar_bremen in 2013 with the duo “Hand in Hand”. Since then he has danced, choreographed and lectured as a guest in various projects of the association. He accompanies the content-related work of tanzbar_bremen as a member of the newly founded advisory board of the association.

Tomas Bünger studied classical and modern stage dance at the Hanover Hochschule für Musik und Theater and was a member of the Tanztheater Bremen under Susanne Linke and Urs Dietrich for many years. There he worked with many international guest choreographers and performed worldwide.

Tomas Bünger teaches and choreographs in the professional and non-professional field and places particular emphasis on involving young people with refugee experience in artistic processes.
He completed a teacher training course at the Mark Morris Dance Center in New York (Dance for People with Parkinson’s).
The focus of his work is the dancing person and his relationship to the world.
