A cooperation between tanzbar_bremen and the Friedrich Wolf Theater Eisenhüttenstadt. A program aimed at showcasing the diversity of contemporary dance beyond the established dance centers.
Tanzland – tanzstadt_eisenhüttenstadt – tanzbar_bremen
Under the title tanzstadt_eisenhüttenstadt – tanzbar_bremen, the Friedrich Wolf Theater and the dance company tanzbar_bremen will work together continuously over the next three years. During this time, tanzbar_bremen will regularly present dance theater productions at the Friedrich Wolf Theater, but also children’s dance pieces at the kleine bühne or dance actions in public spaces.
This cooperation is made possible by the funding program Tanzland – Program for Guest Performance Cooperations of the German Federal Cultural Foundation. The program aims to make the diversity of contemporary dance visible beyond the established dance centers. Guest performance venues collaborate with a professional dance company for three years, show their pieces, and organize outreach programs and workshops.
And so it began. On March 28, elementary school classes were invited to the play Rosa sieht Rot followed by a workshop in the small stage of the Friedrich-Wolff Theater. Then on March 30, the dance theater production Re_Cycle could be seen on the big stage.
On July 1, 2023, tanzbar_bremen will then perform several smaller pieces as part of the TheaterSommerTerrasse around the Friedrich-Wolf Theater.
